Burris XTR Rings with Inserts, 1" No Longer Made?

Good day,

The bulletin article mentions these rings are available in a 1" height. I've tried to purchase these rings at 1" and been unable to find them from any vendor. My search results turned up several mentions that Burris was no longer making the rings in this height.

Does anyone have any confirmation or availability information? I'd like to order a couple of pairs of the 1" height rings if a source can be found.

I've been trying to obtain this part in 1" and 30mm for months. You guys usually do better than this.

Is there a particular reason they need to be XTR and not the Sig. Zee rings?

I prefer them for scope care and recoil. Also, I use the different height XTR rings where required for scope off-set.

I use the Sig. Zee rings on almost all my rifles up to 416 Rig. and never had any issues with slipping or other issues. They have the inserts for adjustment also.

I've been searching for part numbers 420231 and 420221 in particular since January, the last time I checked was two months ago. Out of stock or not available in the half dozen or so places I usually look, including Brownells, Eurooptic, PSA, Buds, Grafs, Midsouth and a couple others. Natchez used to not ship to Georgia addresses until recently, so I don't usually look there. I had problems with OpticsPlanet listing as available but not actually in stock, therefore taking a month or more to ship an order, so I don't deal with them, either. PSA lists the item as shipped by a different vendor.

I found a couple of threads from different sites stating Burris had discontinued the 1" height. I don't have the links, so I don't have proof of the threads exist.

I'll see if I can place orders on Tuesday.

Ended up getting both from Buds. They had both and some other items I needed. I'd checked with them earlier this year and they didn't have the 1" diameter.

Some other sites I used still didn't have them in stock, so cudo's to Bushnell to making a new lot.

Glad I saw your source! I actually called Burris yesterday about XTR rings for a 34mm scope and they indicated they made them in 1” and 1.5” height.

Edited to add: I’ve heard these are great in 1” and 30mm tubes but have read of multiple problems with the inserts with 34mm bodies. (?). Think I’ll go with another brand in that size.

Sorry, missed your post. I just read several reviews with people saying they couldn’t get the inserts tight on the 34mm, and still had scope movement, trouble zeroing the scope, etc. But I tend to focus on the negative reviews and there were many more reporting no issues, so maybe they just didn’t understand the install procedure, which I take it is unique to the XTR signature rings. (?). Most of the people reporting difficulties with the install just went to the solid Burris Zee rings then were able to zero their scopes quickly..
