Burris Signature crossbolt screws

We had a discussion on this thread several weeks ago when a message was posted saying that the crossbolt screw heads are now Torx T-15's. I called "customer service" ( I use that term loosely) & was told only straight slotted head screws are being used.

Just received a new package (factory sealed) of medium height, 30mm, bought from MidSouth, and yup, the crossbolt screw heads are T-15's.

I'll be calling again only this time will request a supervisor. It's unfortunate that Burris has such lousy customer service.

That was the same reply I got in an email. The person replying said they had to go trough about 20,000 Straight Screws before changing over. Think I'll call & ask for someone "Who Knows" !!

I had two bad sets from when they changed their facility over. The screws were stripping out when tightening them down. I chased them for months to get replacements. One set came right away and was the wrong height. The second set came 6-7 months later and was also the wrong height. I got tired of playing games with them so i sold the sets and bought the correct height on my own. Its a shame!!

I was the one that had just received a pkg. of high rings with the torx T-15 crossbolts. fdshuster maybe this time you will be able to buy 12 pairs of the new T15 cross bolts.

Cover Dog

cover dog: I'll give them another call, but I'm not holding my breath for any co-operation from them.

Someone said that Burris has 20,000 (?) of the straight slotted head screws that they have to get rid of, so that may be the reason they are not receptive to the idea of selling them seperately.
