The lead boils out of the nose?

yes..i use to have a series of pics, but three computers later they appear to be missing.

Boiling point is pretty high.
But, melting point is 621 F.
When lead comes out of a jacketed bullet, with the high rpms involved, the lead only needs to have started melting.

ETA. I guess that's where the phrase 'Eat hot lead' comes from.

if you have a lead test kit..that "smoke" on the target will test positive for lead

yes it is over 3000 degrees, but one only needs to melt it, 621 degrees,under pressure and high velocity to get it to squirt/spew

He must have special bullets, never heard of one with a "nosebleed" lol Even harder to melt a lead nose on a plastic tipped vmax.

Fast twists and high velocities tend to damage bullets at the lands. The friction can liquefy the lead and allow it to leak out the bearing surface, not the nose. For those with high round count barrels, the heat checking in the throat does the damage, and even at lower velocities they will "throw a tail" on target or even blow up

My "changing story" detector just went off. You made the claim that the lead boils and confirmed that 2x when asked if that was correct. The boiling point of lead is 3180 degrees F. The meting point of copper is 1984 degrees F. Do you see a problem with this?

no..i mis-used the term boil....but check the targets for lead.....you will notice i said squirt several times also...that is still true.i am done...bye
