It is easy to live in a free state and pass judgment on the rest. What did you do besides being born in Texas to fight for your gun rights? Here in Calif we are a small number of voters and we do our part little as that means.

Boy are you being defensive. I never passed judgement on you or anyone else when it comes to this matter, all I said was "One more reason to live in Texas". Another thing, I was not born in Texas as you indicated I was and I moved to Texas from California.

Tried to buy ammo on the going out of business Bullets.com. Guess what..no shipping to Illinois...not even with the usual copy of the FOID card, copy of drivers license and of course to the same address as noted on all ID's. Not Cook county resident..Thank God...seems to be no problem with shipping by Brownells, Midway, Midsouth, Powder Valley, or Natches with the necessary documents issued by the Illinois State Police, with full background checks, but nooooooo not acceptable for Bullets,com....hey Boys...Illinois accepts ammo shipments from out of state vendors with the preceding documents....read the law and requirements, it is all online....and don't tell me fighting the Feds over shipments to Illinois will break you...read the requirements. No problems

Here in CA I've seen just 1 or 2 companies that won't sell legal things to CA. One is Cheaper than Dirt and they will never get any business from me. When I find a company like this I spread the word to my friends. One company that is very good at selling to CA is Bud's Gun Shop. I also try not to buy from forum members who won't ship bolt actions to CA. Shooting enthusiasts in law challenged states need our support and some are quick to turn their back. 2c. --Jerry

Precisely!

The everchanging laws of certain states, county by county are hard to keep up with. One mistake and we would have a battle and a nasty stain on us. Think about it - there has to be a good reason for us to refuse business. Sometimes we get nasty calls from customers telling us WE are infringing on their 2nd amandment rights by not selling to them! Well, you just have to make one mistake and it will cost us hundreds of thousads of dollars in legal fees. Ever fought a Govt. legal team that has no limit to their budget?
You can't fight them, goverment has nothing but time and money. ( and lots of stupidity)
