it was 2-3 inches from the chamber -we put some oil on it and used a cleaning rod and palm pressure to remove it
it came out rather easy

As stated above, a fiberglass , composite cleaning rod with a bullet pusher attachment will get all of them out. Done from the muzzle, letting the rod drop will push that rascal out. Patience is the key. May take 10 minutes of dropping the rod constantly but they come out, no harm no foul. Glad you got yours out.
