Bullet/Headspace Comparator Set…. Is Derraco Engineering Good Enough?

Hey everyone,

I have a Derraco Engineering case/bullet comparator set. I use mitutoyo calipers when reloading. I’ve been wondering if upgrading to a short action customs set or the forester datum dial set would be a worth while investment. Also, I’ve been checking out the new LE Wilson head space tool . What has been your experience? Thanks in advanced for the knowledge!

I use the Derraco set and am very happy with it. A friend has the Hornady set and is having consistancy troubles.

I have this/use this set in my personal reloading tools, while its just a comparator it seems to work well.

I have the derraco and wilson. Derraco is faster but limited to the accuracy of the caliper used. I use the wilson for my match ammo

Any of them work, just be sure to use the same one when comparing measurements.
