Bullet casters with large variety available

Looking for a bullet caster that offers a wide selection of lead bullets to provide me with .38 Special bullets to be used in a 24" barreled rifle. Point me in the right direction.

You will want a gas check on those bullets, and hard bullets.

There's Randy Moyer in Madisonburg Pa. Good guy known him personally for 40 years. Use his bullets in a couple of rifles and pistols.

WARNING: standard lead pistol bullet alloy mix will NOT work for rifle application. You are going to have to find a guy that knows his way around Cast Rifle bullets. A 50/50 mix of #2 alloy and linotype would be a start, depending on how fast you want to shoot them. It maybe cheaper to shoot a jacketed bullet as there are companies that are selling pulled 38 bullets of high quality, for cheap money. I know a company selling pulled 125g & 158g Speer Gold Dot for cheap money. Send me a PM and I will give you the company name.

I shot cast bullet comp with a 308 Winchester for a while, dealing with lead in a rifle barrel is no fun. I Shot pure linotype with gas check.

If you were getting leading in the 308 then you were having a lube failure, and probably had antimony wash not leading. Thats what happens when you use a too rich antimony alloy.
