Choice of bullet weight

What weight of lead bullet would be the best choice for .38 Special caliber shot from a 24" barrel rifle with a 1:10 twist~?
Same question for a barrel with a 1:16 twist if you will.
Thanks for any help~!!

https://www.missouribullet.com/ 158 gr lead would be my choice. The Brinell hardness of 12 & 18, are available, Go with the harder 18 for a rifle.
I have tested linotype bullets in handgun, with no problems. Correct diameter & Lube.
I have never tried coated bullets.

See Hodgdon data.

Barrel twist of 16 or 10, both should work. https://jbmballistics.com/cgi-bin/jbmstab-5.1.cgi

Starting loads with Jacketed bullets, loaded as 38 special, may not make it out a 24" rifle barrel?
