Bulging case necks with 107, 108, 112 grainers in 6BRA

I'm not set up to neck turn and honestly the cost of the set up is about the same as having the barrel rechambered.

I bet you know guy that has everything you would need to turn that brass. I have a Sinclair cutter that’s set up for .268 necks which might be a little thin for you. I also have a PMA tool with brand new mandrel and and cutter that was chosen specifically for those 40 degree shoulders.

Just let me know if you want to try it.

Just let me know. I should be free around noon on Friday if you want to meet up. I’m planning on doing some shooting on the weekend, so I’ll be coming your way then as well.

……or you can come over tomorrow night and turn it all here if you want. Just whatever works.

Maybe I missed it somewhere (if I did, I apologize in advance), but what was causing the necks to buldge with the heavier bullets, but not the 95’s? Bullet diameters & loaded neck diameters should’ve been the same and chamber the same as long as you weren’t in the lands.

So I'm new to the 6BRA ( not new to wildcats), and am having a hell of a time with it. Any bullet I heavier than the 95 grain Berger VLD Target, bulges the case necks to the point where the round will not chamber. Barrel specs are as follows..... Douglas 6BRA. 1-8 twist, .272 neck, freebore unknown( I bought the barrel lightly used, and the fellow couldn't remember). Savage small shank barrel. When heavier bullets are seated to .015 off the lands case necks bulge to .269. is this common, if so would neck turning be the solution? Or would a smaller bushing for my L.E Wilson fls die be a better solution? I'm currently running the .267 bushing. Any input is greatly appreciated
Check overall length and bump.

The late Stan Taylor ( God rest his soul) is the one who figured out the issue. And once the original barrel owner found his paper work m, we were able to confirm that the neck was in fact . 269. @markw who lives about 30 minutes from me was gracious enough to neck turn my brass, and bore scope the barrel for me as well.
