Building an AR-15

I have looked into the brand Del Ton but have head not so great things about them. What are yalls opinions on Del Ton?

I have a budget of around $950
If I choose to build my AR from scratch what bolt carrier assembly do yall recommend?

What charging handle is recommended?

Do yall recommend buying a complete upper or buying individual pieces?

Do yall recommend buying a complete lower or buying individual pieces?

Then what buttstock?

What are you going to do with it? There is a big difference between a 16" blaster and long range varminter.

This is not AR15.com

But there is such a website, and there are probably ten thousand opinions already posted on this subject, so get to it.

For $950...buy a S&W M&P15 Sport, get a red dot sight like a Busnell TRS and call it a day.

$950 is on the low end...since you are on accurate shooter, i suspect you want precision and more long range capabilities; in which case, forget the M&P15 Sport and save up for a LR-308 or AR-10 ;D . In this style, I would look at:

Spartan Rifles LR-308
Larue PredatOBR
G.A Precision GAP10
JP LRP-07

If you're set on an AR-15, then find one with a SS barrel in the 18-20" range from one of the leading mfg in AR-15s like JP or Larue.
