Bugholes of Southern Precision Rifles, largest single retailer of rifle barrels, and his son Brody landed at the Dasher Dome today for a late evening shoot. Only had two hours of daylight left and the sun was already low. We started with Bugholes 338 Lapua at 1400 yards but the bright sun was low and in our eyes. We could not see the hits so we moved off Rocky Top down to the DOME for some 800yd clanging metal. Brody was shooting a Defiance Deviant 6 XC and after zeroing on Ole Chuckie he went to the 800 yard line and painted Chuckie's head orange and only went for head shot thereafter.
Then he went on Chico the Colorado prarie dog and scored both the dog and hog.
Greg, shooting a Bat VR 243 AI, was alternating with Brady and they had a great father / son couple of hours at the range.
Brody at 800 making headshots only on Ole Chuckie

Bugholes trying to keep up with Brody

First time 3 Schmidt-Bender scopes have been at the DOME

The 338 Lapua I forgot to check the action but probably a Defiance
