I had a 721 action that started life as a .300 H&H that I had bedded, refinished and rechambered to .300 H&H Ackley. It never shot well so I purchased a 7MM RSAUM take-off barrel and screwed on it. That shot better but not great and I already had two in that caliber so I did a complete makeover! Here's the list!
PTG one piece fluted standard bolt-faced bolt with a mini 16 extractor and PTG firing pin assembly and tactical knob
Jewel bottom safety trigger assembly
Choate Tactical stock with adjustable butt and solid cheek riser, Hydro Dipped in Rattlesnake pattern
28" 8tw Criterion Remage barrel chambered in .243 AI
PTG .300 SS recoil lug
EGW 20 MOA HD steel Picatinny rail
Burris Signature Zee rings
NF 12-42X 2DD reticle presently riding on top
With only 35 rounds down the tube it already has shown great promise(<1/2MOA@200yds.) with the 105 grain A-Max in the fire-forming loads and the five formed loads I shot. It is destined for the Chuck "Killing Fields"!
