BRX or Dasher?

I watched the 600 yard 0.5XXX " group as it was shot into the target. Someone should tell Bob that his neck is too short and he would do better if he had a longer necked case.

The long/ short neck debate is not focused on accuracy but bbl life.

Both the BRX and Dasher are short necked cartridges that are not considered over bore for the bbl. Hence, accuracy is there due to the parent case design but bbl life is probably a bit shorter on a BRX or Dasher than a straight 6mm BR.

Bob could have probably shot his record group that day with a straight 6mm BR. Short neck, long neck, 150 fps velocity doesn't matter as much as the skill of the driver and the good fortune to have the righ conditions hold to produce the small groups.

Just my .02 worth with a congrats to Bob on some fine shooting.
