BRX FL vs NK sizing?

In the past year or so i have seen the trend push more to FL sizing of brass over neck sizing only. Is there any reason i should be FL sizing my BRX brass? I have no issues with extraction or sticky bolts, i have 6 to 7 reloads on lapua brass neck sizing only with 266 bushing! Is there any accuracy to be gained with FL sizing?

I full lenght my 6BRX brass as there's not much of a neck to size! I have no accuracy issues and have never annealed my BRX brass.

Does anybody anneal their BRX brass!

I've got a 6mm BRX that I recently had built.

I FL size (with a bushing) every time. I've set up my die to only bump my shoulders by .001. In the quest for consistency, I'm an advocate of trying to get everything the same every time.

I have also been annealing after every firing; for a few reasons:

1) After fire-forming I thought it would be a good idea to anneal my brass as I had just moved the shoulder .100". I've now done so after every firing for 4-5 reloads.

2) We recently had about 4 weeks in a row of matches. My results have been unbelievably good, and I'm trying not to change a thing.

3) I own an annealer. Might as well use the thing. :)

I have not had the time to experiment with annealing less frequently. I probably will not do so until next year.

Brian,

I F/L size with a 0.001" bump each firing. You may not see an improvement in accuracy. But if you get a tight case in the middle a record group. it will be out of the group everytime at long range. I want my cases the same everytime. I used a 7mm-08 f/l die to size the butt of the case, then bumped the shoulder with a 6BR body die, then neck sized with a Wilson neck die. I shot 3 IBS 600 yds records with this setup. I have a custom F/L die now. it works great, but I should have saved me $200.00 it worked too.

Dennis:
I anneal after every third firing. The clean I shot the other day at PA was just annealed the week before.
