BrustFire Annealer Question

I found that the cheap torch head clamp/holder was a pain to adjust and get set in the right position and that my cases slipped on the wheels. Otherwise it's a solid machine. The case prep portion was a nice added feature that I haven't seen on any other annealer but, I never used it as I had a Frankford case prep center that I liked better.

I ended up selling mine and getting an AMP because the ease of set-up/use and knowing my cases were annealed properly was worth it. If I wasn't going to spend that kind of money I'd be looking at a Bench Source or AGS. They both are plate style which don't have the slipping issue and both have a better torch mounting solution.

I still highly recommend the water-cooled Annie as a more reasonably priced induction option. You can anneal as fast as you can hold/insert a case into the coil. It never overheats or kicks off. I also like seeing the color of the brass as I anneal, but I always use Tempilac to initially fine tune my cycle times(usually 1-3 seconds). I set it up with the coil sticking out over the edge of my reloading table, use the foot switch to start the cycle and leave a metal bowl on the floor to drop the brass in after annealing. It's amazingly fast. I can anneal 10-12 .223 cases per minute and have the video to prove it.
