My 30br project is at a stand still..I have barrel ,bat b action ,jewel trigger ,bat rings,brass,powder,bullets,dies but cant find a stock for bat b ...So after months of trying im thinking of bruno-mcmillian partial inletted stock ,,,any thoughts on these and how much is charged to finish inletting the stock.....thanks in advance.

I have two. One first gen and one second gen. Second gen is a little thicker/stiffer in the wrist area. As to cost I’ve no idea what someone might charge but any BR gunsmith should be able to do it and tell you.

@gunsandgunsmithing Thoughts???

You can remold just about any stock for a different action. Heck, I have a Robertson that has had three different actions in it. A Farley, a Bat M, a Neuvo, and now another Farley.

Sometimes the aesthetic appearance is lacking, but I don’t worry about that if it shoots well.

You know if i had it all over to do i think i should have started with a stock first.....or did what others have subjected and bought a used one on here ...oh well im in it now. thanks all Barry

Something along the lines of function over form?

Long Rifles Inc. was unhappy with most factory or 'custom' inletting so they wrote programs to remove the inletting then fill the area back in and re-inlet. It was supposedly the cat's meow for the best inletting.

Call or email to see if they still offer this process for your action:

Not sure if it’s true but I’ve seen reports that LRI is way way out time wise on inletting these days. It’s also very expensive IMO at $750

I'm just the messenger. The listing I just saw stated $375.

I don't have a dog in this fight, I do my own inletting.:)
