Bruno McMillan BR Stocks

This is my first post so please bear with me. I would like opinions for the Bruno McMillan BR stocks Lester currently sales. I know they are partially inletted for Bat B actions so I thinks you could still finish in letting for a Panda or Farley Black Widow. Just need input for your thoughts on the stock. Thanks for any help.

I've patronized Brunos for 25 yrs and never had a concern with any member of the team there. Great folks.

A big plus for them is Lester uses them and he's won a lot with them. Yes, ask him what he thinks about inletting for other actions. I'd think that it wouldn't be a problem or at least not much of a problem. FWIW I have two, a Gen 1 and a Gen 2.

Sorry I’m a little behind but what is the difference between Gen 1 and Gen 2? Are the stocks he has now have the large pistol grip like a Scoville or Leonard? I have a Leonard but I just don’t really like the large grip and as you know they really don’t have very much of a pistol grip.

The main difference is the Gen 1 had a thinner wrist. It was thickened, beefed up if you will. That change happened a long time ago. I have no idea how it compares to a Scoville or Leonard and why would the grip make much difference on a SRBR stock anyhow? You don't actually grip it so I'm puzzled there.

It’s been a while since I shot competitively and I was just more comfortable with the smaller grip. I just need to practice more and get accustomed to the new grip style.

Thanks Al for your response. I’m always trying to keep up with you, Jackie and Randy. Keep up with the score shooting and making bullets for the 30 BR.

Almost any stock can be routed out and remolded to what ever action you can fit into it.

I have a couple of stocks that have been remolded to accommodate whatever action I needed to put in it.

The Bruno is about as good as anything available. It will be a little heavier than a Scoville are Scarborough, but you can make LV weight with one as long as it is under 28 ounces bedded.

Buying a stock has come down to availability more than anything else.
