So no top shooters are using the BRX ?

Sounds like he is on to a better mousetrap. Need to check that out next.Honestly if you want to try something a little different, and don't like trimming which the BRX requires, call Zack (@WSMNUT ) and get him to do a BRDX he has.
This is what I did. My main shooting range has 500 as my max. So I went with the one that I hear is easiest to tune, the 6BR. The barrel was supposed to be done in June, but the smith got a bit behind and now I'm looking at October. Can't wait! Gonna be lots of fun. What distance are you going to be shooting? Up to 600 yards go with a BR
Where does the BRX require anymore trimming than the other variations? Fireforming, they come out short and naturally grow as any other cartridge does when fired.Honestly if you want to try something a little different, and don't like trimming which the BRX requires, call Zack (@WSMNUT ) and get him to do a BRDX he has.
Yea, but the BRX will grow faster than a 40 degree shoulder is his point I'm sure.Where does the BRX require anymore trimming than the other variations? Fireforming, they come out short and naturally grow as any other cartridge does when fired.
in the end just grab the straight BR or one of the variants & go shoot . they can all out shoot me .Yea, but the BRX will grow faster than a 40 degree shoulder is his point I'm sure.
This was the point, like all others with the 40 degree shoulder, growth is less.Yea, but the BRX will grow faster than a 40 degree shoulder is his point I'm sure.
ok thanks i order a number 1 reamer yesterday from jgs with 272 neck i like lapua brass best but hard to find so i ordered just a hundred pieces of alpha heard there's been problems with it but not sure and ordered a wilson full length die from midway so we will see how it goesMy first BRA reamer (the first named BRA) was in 2016. At that time there was very few shooting a BR IMP (BRA). Today guys will say things like it wins because its the most used. If everyone shot X it would win. While thats true, when the BRA really took off and records were falling fast it was not in wide spread use. For me at least, thats what caught my attention.

what is the difference between 6br, 6bra, 6brx and 6dasher?look at the equipment list of this year 600yd and 1K Nationals
pretty much even split between BRA, Dasher and 6BR, I don't see many other 6mm variants being used by top shooters
If you want easy to tune cartrige and better barrel life go with 6BR but BRA and Dasher will give you a bit more horsepower and that could be an advantage in longer distance when the wind is not cooperating.
They all shoot very well! The only ? Is how much time do you want put in to it. I have had them all and choose the easy button. Better to spend more time shooting and less time developing and fire forming etc.i beating my head against the wall just got my krieger barrel and now have to decide what reamer to go with BRX , Dasher , or BRA i have a 6 x 47 lapua so have just can't make up my mind. sorry i know this is probably getting old to you all .
well i did push the east button i went with the 6 BRA putting together now if i don't like it i will just switch barrels going to use alpha brass perfer lapua but hard to find hope alpha works out never used it i know there was some problems earlier so we will seeThey all shoot very well!
