What distance are you going to be shooting? Up to 600 yards go with a BRi beating my head against the wall just got my krieger barrel and now have to decide what reamer to go with BRX , Dasher , or BRA i have a 6 x 47 lapua so have just can't make up my mind. sorry i know this is probably getting old to you all .
ok thanks i have redding 6 br dies already will they work with the BRX going to shoot 300 to a 1000 ydsI have had BRs BRAs, and BRXs. Hands down BRX, not even close.
what reamer for BRX i want a no turn bullets 105 to 108 sok thanks i have redding 6 br dies already will they work with the BRX going to shoot 300 to a 1000 yds
The sizing die will not get the last .100 which will eventually catch up. I never tried a straight 6br seating die but I guess it might.I bought the original dreamer which Clymer had permission to sell not realizing it was set up for 68 gr bullets. So I bought a throater, seated a bullet with the pressure ring half way up the neck and had it throated so a tiny mark was left from the lands. This leaves plenty of room to tune seating depth.. I get all my chambers done this way.ok thanks i have redding 6 br dies already will they work with the BRX going to shoot 300 to a 1000 yds
probably 272 neck freebore?what reamer for BRX i want a no turn bullets 105 to 108 s
probably 272 neck freebore?
ok jeffppc thank all good infoprobably 272 neck freebore?
Seater die or neck die will work. Wilson makes a really nice F/L bushing die.Just have to back the 6BR dies out one hundred thousandths.ok thanks i have redding 6 br dies already will they work with the BRX going to shoot 300 to a 1000 yds
i think BR die is one hundred thousand short you would have to finish it off with 243 die but with the wilson FLD you should be good to go .Seater die or neck die will work. Wilson makes a really nice F/L bushing die.Just have to back the 6BR dies out one hundred thousandths.
what twist do you have on your brx barrels?I am on my 6 th BRX barrel and have had excellent results with everyone. Form ur brass with the false shoulder method. VV140 or Varget will get u as many Xs as u can hold with 105-107 gr. Bullets, no matter what ur game is.
My reamer is a .272 no turn neck with a .104 freebore.
Jeff....You still regretting that last BRA ?? I know it seemed youI have had BRs BRAs, and BRXs. Hands down BRX, not even close.
So no top shooters are using the BRX ?look at the equipment list of this year 600yd and 1K Nationals
pretty much even split between BRA, Dasher and 6BR, I don't see many other 6mm variants being used by top shooters
If you want easy to tune cartrige and better barrel life go with 6BR but BRA and Dasher will give you a bit more horsepower and that could be an advantage in longer distance when the wind is not cooperating.
Actually Fuj I have shot BRXs for I guess close 20 years some years 2 of them. Lots of barrels. Yes might go back to it, depends on how much Springer airgun competition I can find or get started. I have done well with it on paper and shooting steel out to 1000 yd.Jeff....You still regretting that last BRA ?? I know it seemed you
always put a BRX in the bags the last few years, and almost un-
beatable at the 400 yard match's I attended.
