Browning citori steel Need stock Fix

Majday

I just recently bought a browning citori 12 steel version with a 3.5" mag chamber.I believe it is from first year production with a wood camo covered stock. The stock is severely cracked juat behind the action on the rear stock. I believe it is the 525/625 and midwest shooting sells a rear the would work to replace, but is there any place else for a compatible replacement? Would getting a good wood glue work? Id use it for shoting ducks and geese occasionally.

Thanks
Jameson

For a wood stock

Depending on where the cracks are-
Drill holes inside the stock, out of sight . Allow the liquid to run into the cracks. Or inject with a modified insulin syringe.
If liquid comes to the outside, wipe with Vaseline.
Repair will be stronger then wood.acraglas_1.jpg

I fired a couple pheasant loads just to make sure it fired and it does but the action to stock is very sloppy. Drilling seems like a much cheaper way to fix it

The raised wood needs pushed back in to fix. A Vaseline coated rubber strap? Or maybe a padded clamp?
Try to not crush the checkering.

Keep holes small & inject. Must get Acraglas in the cracks.

A friend had said possibly a c clamp or zip ties but as you've said something to make them stay tight together. Would you make several small holes throughout spaced apart? I dont want them too close to disrupt the integrity of the wood too much I wouldn't think.
