Safe reduction. I have a Browning bolt action 375 H&H magnum for sale. I’ve killed several elk with it but no longer use it and need room in my safe. Excellent shooter. 1200$ to your ffl dealer in lower 48 states. I have reloading components for extra charge.IMG_4834.jpegIMG_4834.jpeg

Is this a claw extractor, controlled feed version? Like a pre-64 or 98 Mauser?

ISS

No, this is a Mauser type action, just the front of the bolt & extractor are different. Sako actions were used around the same time for the shorter cartridges, primarily the .308 family.

Ok, thanks for the info. So is the ejection system considered a claw? I don’t want to misrepresent myself when describing the gun.

No, "claw" refers to the extractor. FN (and Brownings made by FN) previously had the familiar long claw extractor of the 98 Mauser and had an ejector (as part of the bolt stop ass'y.) that fit thru a slot in the bolt face for positive ejection. The bolt on your rifle has a Sako type extractor and a spring loaded ejector in the bolt face. These were late model FN Brownings not long before Browning took their business elsewhere (the BBR and then A-Bolt).
