My uncle actually played on this album. Whenever you hear a trombone, that’s him. He brought me Paul McCartney’s autograph when he came home to see my mom and grandfather once. It’s around here somewhere.

When 357mag mentioned The Searchers it brought back great rock and roll memories. In late January 1964 I was 19 and wandering the world on a cargo ship out of New Orleans, and was in Manchester England. Met a girl, and we went out to a night club on Friday night - her comment was, "You will love the band". Part way through the set, they announced that their recording of the next number had just cracked the top 10 in the US, and launched into "Needles and Pins" - that performance in a night club was my introduction to "The Searchers" and my first contact with a live Brit rock and roll band.

I'm honestly surprised no one has mentioned Black Cat Bones in this thread! When I think of classic British blues, they're always the top of my list. Still searching for a good copy OP vinyl to add to my collection.
