break open single shots

Ok, here is the question. I have 2 breakovers 1 22-250 encore,
and an H&R .223. would it be best to stay with what i have
or try to build a gun in one of the br calibers? now if i
build i am on limited funds so would a mauser action work,
or do i need to save for a couple of years and get a custom
action?

What are you wanting to do Josh? Target shoot, varmit hunt, competiteve matches? Without knowing what you're trying to do, it's hard to say.

A Mauser action will work but will not be worth much when it's finished to any one other than you.
For a general purpose hunting, plinking set up, your break opens are as good as any
of the Mausers will be.
Save your money and buy lots of bullets with it and shoot em up, or buy a 6br barrel for your Encore, and never look back....

I would like to get into competetive shooting but I know
of no matches that take place in Oklahoma. Where do you
get the 6br for the encore? What might that cost, any
ideas?

.223 or the .22-250 in the 600 or maybe 1000yd matches?

No; not with the twist your barrels have maybe an 8 twist on the 22-250 and you make it an AI.Here is what I would do I would sell both the guns you have now and buy an old rem 700 from shooters corner.You can pick one up that still has some life left in the barrel for around $850.00.It just might be the most accurate gun you have ever shot I know mine was...

I was in the same boat you are in now about 5 years ago.
Now here I am over thousands invested and the accuracy BUG is still bitting on me.Here is a picture of my gun I bought off shooters corner for 800.00.
