In addition to my earlier post:

I say it will not even hit the berm,

agreed. i bet it smacks the ground several hundred yards short of the target... way to the right.

Ok, I'll bite... What makes an intelligent question liberal? I didn't ask for the definition of the.

I was born intelligent, but not liberal. All assertions that careful, intelligent, people fall on one side or the other of the political spectrum have been proven to be hoaxes. It's Ok, we can still be friends.

We were asked to guess the result of canting the rifle. The question didn't state where the sights were after canting.

Assuming that there was not a large amount of wind on the sights, the impact will be low and right. Either way, its in the berm.

If a gun, say a slow shooting heavy bullet 308, is dead nuts on the X at 1000 yards, where will the point of impact be if you cant the rifle 45 degrees to the right and shoot?

No explanations for now, just your answer.

I would make this a poll but I don't know how to poll dance.

I say no change to POI

With out the barrel being perfectly straight. It would just be a guess. We all know they never have made a perfectly straight barrel. Larry

This is assuming a perfect barrel. No wind.

I'm gonna say high left with out studding on it.

But that's just my guess.

Remember, no explanations, just your best guess for now...

Change my mind, Low left...

Only if that cow was standing one target to the right and at about 995 yards.

In my opinion, the bullet impact would be low right approximately an inch.

That's what I call putting your money where your mouth is, call and distance!

How about the rest of you "competition expert shooters"? Don't be shy.......

Sailor, I cut wood all day and read this thread late in the afternoon. I threw a box out in the yard and with a scoped 22 shooting subsonic (CB's) @50ft it went to the right. Instead of posting I decided to take a nap. 10 hrs of chain saw has that effect on me these days.

Insted of posting you took a nap? Whats this here? Look Up.... you posted ....

Ten hours of chain saw bull sh$t.

I've seen you shoot, Chain saw or not, your a dead nuts shooter!
Now, tell us, up, down, left, right ? Off top of the head, no tinkering...

Without actually taking the shot you described, I would expect it to hit the ground in front of one of the targets to the right.

Just took my Walmart Beeman air rifle outside to test. At 30 yards it hits in the direction of my cant.

What that means at 1,000 yards is ...
