Braided fishing line?

Power Pro is my go to line for spin casting a bubble for trout. Eight # with a 5X leader about 3 feet long. Casts like a dream, hook sets are easy, I have never had a trout break the line, only the mono leader.

Make sure to use a line that is 8 strand or higher. Some braid is not round. Power pro is one of them I do not like. I have been using a lot of the daiwa j-8 and Sunline 8 strand the last few years.

just be very careful handling the line. It will cut right through your fingers

We use 150-200 pound test Power Pro on alligator rods. Palomar knot is the only knot we use.
