Grizzly front rest question

Just saw on the Bullets.com site they are having a pretty decent blowout on the Bald Eagle rests. I need a front rest for load development etc. I'ma sling shooter so not a real need for top of the line BR front rest. Any recommendations on what Grizzly Bald Eagle rest is a good bet. Slingshot? Aluminum? I have to figure cast iron is best for weight.

Someplace down the line I'd like to venture into BR and maybe F class...Maybe :)

Look forward to any recommendations

I like mine and think it gives good bang for the buck. I got a model with the "speedometer cable" style windage adjustment. It was jittery and jumpy so I took everything apart and lapped the sliding surfaces with some valve grinding compound followed by some fine polishing compound. Then, after cleaning up, I lubricated all the sliding surfaces. I also replaced the return springs with lighter ones and lubricated the adjustment cable as well as the the other moving parts. Now it's nice and smooth without any hysteresis.

Theyre not the original bald eagle for sure but they are the best bang for the buck. An aluminum slingshot would be my choice for your application. If its not heavy enough some other somethin aint workin right but you could throw a sand or lead bag over the legs

I've got the aluminum triangle and I like it. It's very stable and works well for the price. I don't use the windage adjustment too much, but when I do, it works. Kind of jittery like Mozella says.

I have one and really like it. It has the cable style windage adjustment. I found the rest to be pretty tight right from the factory but then I went through it and retightened and lubricated everything and it works even better. It is heavy but not excessive. I have built a number of portable shooting benches over the years for people as well as myself and I paint a very precise one-half inch black line down the middle of my benches. Then I sight down that line at the target or intended shooting point and set the front rest up aligned directly on the line and the same with the rear bag. When the rifle goes into position it is very close to the intended impact point. Get one of the rests, you will like it.
