I was just talking with a friend of mine that had a new brux barrel that he couldn't get any velocity out of without hitting pressure in a br-a. I believe it's on its way back to brux and he's on vacation. He didn't have any trouble getting velocity out of his fire form barrel.

First of all I wouldn’t trust the Hornady comparertor to compare to Another persons measurement they are not at all the same . Me and a good friend got into that and to come to find out it was the comparertor not the brass

I usually have mine specifically done at 243.8 because some bullets are fat at the pressure ring.

Do you think a fb diameter of .2438 or .244” is needed for a straight 6br also??

If you're running a 105gr bullet or there about for long range No doubt you will see a difference.

The print I’m looking at has a .2435 I will have it changed to .244” as I’ll only be running 103s.. Cheers Stan.

Finally got some 105 hybrids in. Just tried a few fireforming to see how they did. Just picked 28.5 varget and loaded them 10 in. Looked good so I tried 28.8. Looks real good for forming loads and running 2805 with 3.7 Sd. Doesn’t look bad at all for an old barrel set up for forming. 3 shots each.
