It's a Wichita. I have one, Shilen barrel, Lee Six stock, Leupold 12X scope, built it in .222 Rem. (so I won't blow big holes in pelts). Shoots my handloads (50 gr. Ballistic Tips, Ramshot Exterminator propellant, CCI BR primers) into tiny groups, as small as I can hold from a bench. Oh, by the way, I'm left-handed, so is this rifle.I have a benchrest rifle chambered 6PPC, right bolt, left port, 3 lug. Unmarked. Any ideas what this might be?

Thanks.
Neat old actions. When you take the firing pin assy out to clean everything up, be aware that the bolt shroud is left hand threaded. The original pin springs were pretty heavy...a bit over 30 lbs. It's in great shape, except the trigger doesn't reset on its own. If I push the trigger forward, it works perfectly. Probably would be fine with a cleaning. My friend used lighter fluid as a solvent for cleaning his triggers
Didn't they have extremely short striker fall, too?Neat old actions. When you take the firing pin assy out to clean everything up, be aware that the bolt shroud is left hand threaded. The original pin springs were pretty heavy...a bit over 30 lbs.
Good shootin'-Al
From memory I think you will find the shroud thread is left hand on a right hand action and right hand on a left hand action.Neat old actions. I posted about some work I did to one a while back...you might find this interesting. Or not. Anyway....Didn't they have extremely short striker fall, too?
Or maybe I'm thinking of some other older BR action....
