I have a pile of CCI 450s and Fed 205M. It seems I remember the BR4 is just a CCI 450 made by more experienced hands.
There was a primer test on here probably 10-15 years ago. Lots of information. If I can dig it up I’ll send it to you.Where did you get that info?

CCI 450 = MagnumI usually finish load development with the primer I started with. If there’s a problem, it shows itself quickly and I’ll change.

So is the BR4. It’s has the same cup, anyway.CCI 450 = Magnum
I use them exclusively in my 6BR.. Just liked the performance better than the BR4”s and they are quite a bit cheaper… At least where I buy them.
CCI primers both large and small I find seem to burn cleaner with less tenacious residue left in the primer pocket. Makes cleaning the brass {I do @ time} easier and of course I have been happy with their performance. So is the BR4. It’s has the same cup, anyway.
CCI 400s have a thinner cup than both. Truly, I don’t think any of us will ever know the exact differences, but I do know I’ll never buy another BR4 when Federals are half the price and shoot better for me.
