I would start by polishing the barrel with diamond paste - from 5 micron to maybe 3 micron, to get rid of any rough spots that are catching fouling or copper. Once the barrel is "shiny", experiments with HbN or Moly may show improvements - but I'm not a fan.
Just use the diamond paste - a very small quantity on a patch and using kerosene as a lubricant, and work the patch in the barrel. After polishing use WD40 to swab the barrel out. I have bought a few barrels back to life using this method an it's quicker and more effective than polishing with lesser abrasives, such as Autosol.
