Bore scope video...what am I seeing here?

You’re on the right track. The purchase of a bore scope is the beginning of wisdom in barrel cleaning. You will learn that a lot of stuff sold as bore cleaners doesn’t work in reasonable amount of time. And there is a reason good barrels cost more. And stainless steel is the best way to go.

Id probably break out the Montana extreme and let that shit soak in for twenty minutes and have a go with a bronze brush.

I want to know what you are using to get it that clean!!!
Elbow grease !!

I use Wipe out foam with the accelerator product followed by a dry patch to see if there is any copper. Then use a nylon Iosso brush. Soak a patch with Carb-out let set for a while then dry patch out. I had the beginnings of a carbon ring in this barrel so I took a worn bronze brush and JB bore paste on a patch and gave it several good strokes. Wash that out with some Kroil on a Patch and dry patch until clean.

The before picture was after about 200 rounds of H4895.

Well, I use the heck out of elbow grease (brand specific!) the only thing I haven't tried is the Wipe out foam! I'll get that and see if that is the missing link!
Thanks,

Hi all, I have zero experience analyzing barrels so I'm looking for an assist here. This barrel (stock Custom Shop RPR) has 340 rounds through it and has only ever been cleaned with Hoppes (nylon brush and patches). I'm seeing some messiness for the first 25 seconds or so, particularly the copper-looking scratch around the 0:21 mark. Anything concerning here? Thanks!

Looks like a brush bristle to me.
