I got the same as above from Brunos SS under $900, they are out of stock on it but are taking BOs.

That's where I got mine. You'll find that you "need" the 90deg. eye piece attachment.

Got mine from Bruno's also. Good price back when I bought it, I recommend the 90° eye piece especially for chambering. It's also nice for when you have your gun in the cradle.

I think sinclairs has them too and they have a specially priced one just for you.You can live without the angle eye piece in my opinion. That will save alot of coin. The funny thing is they are 10 miles from me and I cant get any better deal than anyone else.

Bozo,
The 90 degree eyepiece is incredibly useful. Buy one with the borescope and you will never regret spending the extra couple of hundred dollars.
Yes, you don't HAVE to have it........but when you have GOT one, it just makes the use of the scope so easy , with the rifle in a cradle, that you will start to treat it as an essential part of your cleaning regime.
The last thing you want is the risk attached to loaning it to a friend, who accidentally lets a rifle flip while trying to inspect it without a 90 degree viewer, and bends or breaks your borescope.
I also upgraded to an LED light source and thoroughly recommend that you do the same. The original Maglite is a very yellowish light, whereas the LED is bright white which makes the inspection job a lot easier.

I got mine from Sinclairs a few years ago. Bruno's used to be the cheapest I knew about but I don't know now. I don't have the angled eyepiece and I think it would be handy, but its not to bad without it if you build a frame for your rifle vise that sits on the table and puts the bore at eye level when you are sitting in a chair. I suppose I will buy the angled eyepiece one of these days though. What I really want is the video monitor attachment. I think that would be the best. I have converted my scope to the led light also and it is much better IMHO

The less expensive units usually do not have adjustable focus option.
I'd highly recommend it unless your eye sight doesn't change in your life time.
The 90 degree mirror & 90 degree eye piece.
An LED mini mag light source works well also.

I prefer a 75degree mirror for bore inspections with out all the glare.

Dan,
I have looked all over and can't find the 75* mirror, where can you get that accessory at my friend.

Don't get totally focused in on the "bore scope" aspect, either. These things are incredibly useful for a whole host of things where you need to see something that's normally hidden from view. Case separations are one, and you can see them long before they start to show stretch marks on the outside of a case. Flash holes are another, in deciding whether it's time well spent or a waste to deburr them. I use mine for case inspections pretty regularly.

Kevin,
Thank you for the insightful help there, have you used the 75* mirror that Dan was speaking of, and do I want the classic slim or the hardy bore scope, I would think the classic slim as the eye piece on the hardy 90* is .330 thanks for your help.
Wayne.

I've got two of them, one a full-length rifle model and the other a short (six inch or so) one that I use for pistols and all those other chores I mentioned like working with cases. I've never used the 75 degree mirror, but do have the 90s for both of these. The shorter one I often use without the mirror, as it works with or without for case inspections. Makes it a bit easier to spot case stretching when looking across the split, rather than directly at it as you do with the 90 degree mirror. I'd have to mic them to tell you the diameter on these, but they both work in .22s with no problem. Both are Gradient lens scopes.

Having bought the borescope from Brunos years ago with the 90 degree eye-piece, I can't imagine trying to use the scope without it. That accessory is money very well spent. I can rest the barrel virtually anywhere that it is convenient at the moment, whether it be on my desk, a work bench, or the kitchen table, etc, and look down into it at any comfortable angle.

BTW, a tip for you guys who find it annoying like I do when that eyepiece uxexpectedly slips out of your fingertips and swivels down hitting a hard surface.......try slipping an O ring or two around the perimeter of it right at the joint. It will stay put, or at least swivel down much slower and more gently without the thud.

replace included light with the LED as mentioned. trying to replace a burned out bulb was a pita and the LED seems to last forever. never knew what a "carbon ring" was until i saw it and was it evermore hard to get out...confirmed by scope. i now get the ring out at each cleaning, again confirmed by scope. 90 degree eyepiece an absolute must and i'll try the "o" ring trick...thanks.

Well fella's I sent Lester Bruno an email this morning asking for one of these,
Code: HS17-SHOT-AEP
Price: $888.99

Hopefully it is the right one for .22 cal and up I appreciate all your help, I can add pieces to it as time goes on like different eye pieces or light sources but as long as the tube and mirror will fit my needs then I should be good to go. Thank you for all your help.
Wayne.

bozo699,
Purchase 2each 90degree mirror tubes & modify 1 to the angle of your choice.

A delrin bore guide, dedicated for bore scope usage to keep mirrors clean will enable consistent bore focus.
Acetone works well for mirror cleaning.

Pictured below are the reasons I don't need the 90 degree eyepiece. Range box on top of my workbench, padded with a folded up towell, lay the rifle on top, pull up a chair and look straight into the bore.

As shown in the picture, the rifle with the Bell & Carlson stock with the high cheekpiece: the large diameter housing for the 90 degree eyepiece will not clear the stock. To use it without putting stresses on the tubes will require removing the receiver/barrel from the stock.

The standard eyepiece (pictured), just barely clears the stock. Bought & tried the 90 degree, discovered its limitations and sold it.

Been doing it this way for over 7 years now. Works every time. ;)
