Direct me to the forum on AS where I can find topics with tips and tricks, products and application methods for cleaning a bore. I see all kinds of forums on AS except cleaning unless I’ve overlooked it. Thanks

If you look to the right of the tool bar, you can bring up the search tool and enter in any topic that you are interested in. It will list a long list of threads loaded with information on that topic. I hope this helps you…..

Just looked and you’ll find all sorts of directions, in-depth talks on cleaning rods, patches, best carbon and copper solvents, best jags, best brushes, and on and on……… Good reading and enjoy!

Take a look at gunblue490's two videos', one on Cleaning Solvent Revelations, and How to Clean your Rifle Professionally. These may not be the exact titles of the videos, but you should be able to find them among gunblue490's videos.

If you're really feeling bold, take a look at his video on barrel break in.

This is guy is not a nut case, he has an extensive professional resume. However, I leave it to you to draw your own conclusions. You can PM me and I'll reveal what I discovered through testing.

You may also want to look at tiborauaurusRex's video on minimum disturbance cleaning and copper equilibrium and 8541 tactical's video.

Keep in mind that opinions on this topic is like noses, everyone has one. ;) The best advice I can give is to try different approaches IF you are not obtaining the performance results you desire as evidenced by first shot flyers, seasoning shots being required before the rifle settle's in to group consistently.

Not sure here but one thing, if you are shooting an AR platform NEVER use a foaming bore cleaner
Why I use it as a starter to decrud bolt guns and ARs 15s, and 10s for years...then finish with other products ... it works as a crud cutter, for me.
