For the bolt carrier on gas guns and the bolt and raceways on conventional bolt guns, Phil's Tenacious Oil is the best I have ever found, For the lugs and the lug contact I use the green grease that Kelbly's sells or Shooters Choice All weather High Temp. Grease.
Phil's takes about a drop on the bolt carrier and I can shoot a full 88 rounds of XTC and the carrier will still just as wet. The primary use of the odd smelling oil is it is used in the bicycle racing sport on the derailleur gears. I'm telling you guys, a bottle of the stuff is about $6.00 and you will be handing it down to your kids, It's that good.

You might want to try a dry PFTE lube....doesn't attract grit/dirt: http://www.amazon.com/DuPont-Chain-Saver-Self-Cleaning-Lubricant-4-Ounce/dp/B008S7OG52/ref=sr_1_3?s=sporting-goods&ie=UTF8&qid=1442893559&sr=1-3&keywords=dry+chain+lube

Or you could find something similar with the name "gun" in it and pay 5X more for the same thing. ;D

I tend to shy away from anything too wet. I don't want the case picking up lube prior to being chambered.

Dry lubes and a dab of ep grease on the lug faces.

Less is more...

IMHO the lugs and extraction cam should be kept greased only. Oil on the bolt body will attract grit like a magnet. Last thing I would use is an oil that will turn gummy with age (olive oil).....triggers have an affinity for attracting oils and dirt. If your bolt wont operate as smooth as you would like.....it ain't broken in yet.

On the lugs I've always used a dab (trace) of wheel bearing grease.
