When someone challenges a person's knowledge, I think that mentioning results is not out of line.
If someone builds a race car, and the driver does his job well, does the builder have a right to claim some of the credit? Could the driver have won without a good car? Could the car be shown to full effect without a good driver? IMO it takes both, and both can take pride in what was accomplished.
I put the video up because I think that knowing something about those that are part of the discussion helps readers make judgments about the likely validity of those that have posted. In that video interview, the shooter gave credit to two smiths, which seems only fair. Certainly he gets the lions share, but without excellent rifles he would not have been able to do what he did, and I think that he acknowledged that.
IMO there have been some unnecessarily abrasive posts in this thread. This is not the end of the world, but that is how I call it.
