Bolt for Borden Action

I have a Borden Timberline action in my tube gun in 223. I want to get a 308 bolt face so I can use this rifle as a practice rifle for my 6BR rifle. Any reason I can't just use a standard Rem 700 short action bolt?

It wont fit. Borden can make you a bolt that fits.

Borden will make you one. He made two bolts for my rifle.
