Bolt Face question

Hello All, I trued up a REM 700 action opened up the bolt face for a 7mm WSM however I went back to a 7mm REM MAG cartridge, question is should I close the bolt face back to original dimensions. From original .473" to .535" anyone with experience; asking because I don't. I also converted to sako extractor.

I'm confused, a 7 Rem Mag is a .535" bolt face. You opened the bolt face from .473"??Was it maybe a 7mm Rem Express which was the original name of the 280 Rem??

Good catch swd, my very bad, 7mm Rem Mag @ .532" opened it a small amount for a 7mm WSM @ .535" I opened the bolt face a small amount question is should I close the bolt face back to original dimensions.

What equip. do you have to measure that? .003 is about 1/2 the size of a human hair.

Your GTG as a 7 Rem Mag. Not a thing to worry about.

Just go shoot it and be done with it, .003 will not ever be a problem.
