Bluing after Truing?

I do not blue threads - because they will be greased, so thereby protected
the mating surfaces as well to prevent cold welding or dissimilar metal ionic transfer
so no

the lugs are going to be lubed with something also, plus get constant wear from the bolt

This was my thought process too, but just wondering what other guys do.

I will say, I do like to blue the chamber and OD of Tenon threads
and of course the crown after doing a Chromo barrel for someone
ATF works well for a surface oil after bluing

If the receiver is blued and aesthetics matter, by all means blue the face. It will also reduce the likelihood of rust. Since only a bit will be exposed after the barrel install, I would use a good gold blue (OxphoBlue or 44/40) and call it good; however my guns are all working/target pieces. A presentation-grade rifle would warrant re-bluing.
