Blake barrel project

I got a Blake barrel with relatively little use about 30". The plan is to drop about first 10" inches and chamber in 7mm-08 for Savage action to be used for hunting.
The problem I found that floating pilots on my carbide reamers don't fit in to muzzle end, look like just about .0005 or so to big. Mic. show .276 (it's may bit off just a little)
Any suggestions?

I have never used carbide chamber reamers so ymmv. You could make a bushing, you could order a bushing or you could install the chamber without a bushing(drill and prebore)

Your muzzle is most likely belled out a bit. I wouldnt order or make a bushing til i got access to the new throat

The one I had was .276 not .277

Do you mean your .2760 bushing is too big, won’t fit in the bore? Or do you mean .2760 is too loose?

Bushing is too big. Like Dusty says I'll get to the bore first. And may cut one if needed

If it’s a four groove I’d prebore and ditch the bushing all together.
