yeah, don't have to clean mine all season, with firing a dozen or so times in the preseason. Can leave it 'loaded' all season with NO rust development in the barrel and no degradation to the charge(r/t water absorption). More accurate load development as charges are by true weight NOT some "volume" thus resulting in better, more repeatable accuracy. And finally, 3 patches , ONE with solvent ... two dry DONE ..... 5minutes tops!I tried several of the BP replacements, you can have my share I will shoot real black.
Cracks me up to hear the whining on cleaning these. Wonder how many whiners there were in the 17-1800’s?
We have it easy today. I did some of the concoctions, no thanks. Give me some Balistol cut withH20 50/50 and it melts BP crud. Cleaned and done in 10-15 minutes.
