Bix and Andy comp trigger issue

They work great when they work.

^^^^ Agree 100%. Great trigger, but after it just "locks up" 3 different times in a year or so , open them up and they're clean as a pin and nothing in them, reassemble them and they work fine till the next time that's unacceptable. Sent it down the river. If they figure that out for sure I'd own another one in a heartbeat. JME. WD

I have bought at least 40 B&A triggers. I have had some issues with them and I was ignorant about not taking them apart and to understand how they function and how to adjust them. Now I can do that in my sleep. After reading a post that Alex Wheeler posted about polishing the contact points I took every single one apart and polished all the internals. Problem solved. I've had zero issues since. It's sad to pay 400 plus dollars only to have to work on it to make it 100% reliable.

For the price of $475.00, I shouldn’t have to polish anything!! Just my opinion

Bix and Andy Triggers cost me multiple failures a few years ago. Back then I was competitive and those triggers were a curse. Learned to work on them but must have been a slow learner.

Both are gone now, replaced with Jewel. Lucky for me a also bought a spare back then. Some swear by the Bix and Andy. Some swear at them.

They are sensitive to liquids. If the cleaning fluid gets into inside they will not work properly.
