Bix and Andy comp trigger issue

After cleaning each part with brake cleaner it failed to drop the firing pin after 30 shots. Panda action. Any ideas? It could not be dirt.

Did it do this before you cleaned it? Sounds like poor alignment of the trigger hanger. Hanger pins tight?

The new trigger was installed in April. About 150 shots later it failed to drop the pin. I cleaned it, and 30 shots later it failed. The hanger pins will not slide out. You have to coax them with a punch

Did it cock the action to begin with?
In other words, when the bolt was cycled, did the firing pin remain in the cocked position or was it allowed to slide forward when the bolt was closed?

Box it up and send it to Bullet Central. They will go over it and make sure everything is right.

It did cock the firing pin, when I pulled the trigger it did not release pin. It was still cocked. I opened and closed the bolt and the pin was cocked. It did not release when I pulled the trigger. I unloaded it and came home

I called them they said it was dirt or out of adjustment. I bought from Bruno's. They said to call them for any warranty isuues

Sounds like too much sear engagement.

I would not worry about the pins being a little tight.

Bix trigger fix

These triggers are extremely simple in design. They are also extremely reliable so long as things are how they should be. A little over a year ago I had enough issues with them that I looked into it and came up with the solution. I have been doing this on every rifle I have built for a little...

Make sure your trigger is functioning properly.

If all that checks out, perhaps you inadvertently reversed the trigger hanger. Check the pin fall. 0.240" is the nominal recomendation.

If none of this helps, you need to find a gunsmith who understands BnA triggers.

About 45 bucks for Bullet Central to go over the thing. They turn them around immediately. Really a no brainer to send it directly to them.

They work great when they work. If I could buy a new Jewell I’d be all over it. I must admit, they are easy to service, my Jewell didn’t need anything.

B&A triggers sound like the equivalent to a Kentucky thoroughbred race horse...always on the edge of working or not.

Anyone that has dnf’d a match because of a BnA failure will understand. I lost 11 places in club standings in a week. I never had a match that I couldn’t finish before.
