Binoculars- tell me about them

I need to buy 2 binocs for work. Not looking to get the best but dont buy junk. Im looking for one of those super christmas deals on a good brand. Looks like leupold has gotten out of the game and are not serious anymore, burris looks nice and maybe vortex but i dont know much about them. Not looking for chinese toys but looks like theres not much choice anymore

Dusty, if Vortex has a pair with the same glass their better spotting scope has, I would check them out. I have a Zeiss 85 spotting scope. A friend just bought the better Vortex scope. We compared them, I was impressed. That being said I have looked thru the lower Vortex spotting scope.....no, not good. Another I would look at is Meopta. I have Kahles, ok but not great .

Mine are out in the jeep but your probably correct on the 42 mm part and I’d have double check but I believe they are the HD glass as well
I had a pair of Swarovski EL10x42; macular degeneration left eye made it a waste; gave them to my son with instructions I was to receive a new pair of the Leupolds. Been satisfied with them. Mine are out in the Sequoia :)

Dusty, nobody is fussier about binoculars than bird watchers. Audubon has a binocular review that covers hundreds of models from $50 to over $2,500. They don't sell anything and there are no"Buy It At Amazon" links trying to grab a few cents so they should be actual impressions of the test folks.

There's another site that does sell stuff and has "expert reviews". Not sure I'd trust them as far but I bought my Leica's on their recommendation and have been quite pleased.

Meopta,,, the hiddeen secret, European Quality and high end glass, for less than good US glass! Don't believe me, ask yourself why it so easy find everyone else's glass used. but why do you hardly ever find used Meopta optics for sale????

It just works, if it didn't buyers wouldn't be keeping it! Go on a birdwatchers forum, nobody spends more on exotic glass than them old farts,,, see what they think about Meopta!

If you want better or the best, and willing to pay, Leica,, it don't get no better.

I have a pair of Valdada's that are really good. I have had them for a number of years. I'm not sure they make this model now, but they are really nice. I think this model was less than $500, but I got a deal on them from a buddy that was a dealer.

Maven is getting a lot of good reviews now days.

I have no idea what your budget is but Leicas have always served me great and the Maven B series is really good too.
