Big pistol help.

If it's a Desert Eagle they need to be loaded at the upper end to function properly, same with the 357s, 44s.
I would just load a few at first. Shot a friends 50, its a handful with full house loads.

Yep, the DE has to be loaded warm, but it can be downloaded it a bit. If a revolver, it can be downloaded a bunch. I have even shot a 50 cal round ball thru my revolver with good results. What are you going to shoot?
Oh, not a good idea to shoot cast bullets thru the DE, but have heard powder coated cast bullets are OK. The 50 AE can be a handful when loaded on the warm side.

Powder coated cast is probably ok if they aren’t too soft. I try to keep lead content 92% or less.

Butch... Use the 300-325 gr weight class. I used the Speer Uni-Cores (bonded) Now called Deep Curls with VV N-110. Clean burning and accurate. Start at 27 grains and work up. If you want some Speers let me know.
and Yes...The upper load window is where the 50 AE is best
