Big Piney December 9, 2023 600 yard F Class results

We had pretty decent weather for our December match, EXCEPT for the wind! The nice weather may have contributed to our good turnout. The temperature was pleasant for this time of year and it was clear and sunny, but the wind was pretty high at times and ranged from not too bad to incredibly tricky and switchy throughout the day. This resulted in scores that ranged from great (Bill Drewel's 400, Dustin Redman shooting his first 200 target, and 200 targets's for both Randy Ogrzewalla and David Wiggins) to noticeably lower than usual for some shooters. The time you shot definitely made a difference on this day, but I don't think there were any relays that were truly easy.

We also crowned our season points champions in F-Open, F/TR and Varmit/Tactical based on each shooter's 5 best match scores of the year, not counting our money matches, team match, or 2 day match. Some of our season points championships were determined by as few as 3 points.

We ended a fun day of shooting with some great chili provided by Vera Greer. It was a really good way to end the day, especially after being outside all day on such a windy day.
