bi-pod for F T/R

I gather you are just starting out, it's not a bad way to go to start without sticking $300 plus in one on the "ski" type.

I still use Harris 6"-9" BRS with Pod Paws and Pod Lok, give me a bigger footprint and the ability to lock it in place, I do use a LaBerge Ski type for F-Open as it's way too heavy for F/TR.

Looking into upgrading for this new .223 Rem. build, heavier action, barrel, stock and scope all require weight loss somewhere else!

I just replaced my Harris with a Duplin. Still working on my hold but so far really like it. Got tired of fighting the Harris. I do like the wide stance of the Duplin.

If you want a combo between a dedicated FT/R bipod and a more traditional one, check out the sinclaire tactical bipod. Feet like a harris, folding legs, leg notches, Super wide stance, long cant locking lever. Interesting thing about it is that the legs also have two positions for width. So for more height you can bring the legs in or for a low stance kick them out wide. Need it somewhere in between? Bring one leg in, leave the other leg out and adjust the cant. I really like mine.

if you like hard holding and pre loading your rifle i would recommend LRaccuracy with out question. if you want a ski type bipod there are more options.

best of luck

Cry less, forum member GNERGY makes some killer bipods. I should know, I own 4 of them weighted for each rifle. :)

You will see a black block on top of the bipod, I use that to get a little higher when shooting off the bench without adjusting the bipod back and forth for shooting from a prone position off the ground. They weigh around 1 lb. 5.5 ozs but can be made a little lighter and are cheaper ( less than $250. )then the popular ones on the market. I make them one at a time but I am in the process of making a group of 10 to 15 right now. I haven't got to even advertise them yet because everytime I make a couple I sell them by word of mouth before I can post them for sale. I have been making them because I like to, not because I am making a killing on them.
I have 3 different ways to attach them to your rifle. I don't have a website cause right now I am just an individual making something in my spare time.
Do they work I shot a 199-10X out of 200 this past weekend on my second relay with one and that is with that used barrel 308 I built. ( I even surprised myself )
If you got any questions just fire away.

Under 13oz so if weight is an issue, nothing lighter that I am aware of.

Let me know...
