BGC Bullet Comparator Set Up

I disassembled my BGC comp., cleaned and lubed it and reassembled it and realized that I didn’t know how deep to set the 10,000th” dial indicator stem. Is it critical or is it just a relative measurement to “compare” bullet measurements? Is there a suggested measurement between the dial indicator housing and top of the BGC tube?

Just a relative measurement. Very smart to disassemble them every once in awhile for a cleaning and light lube.
