I inherited case upon case of 38 and 357 brass some 20 years ago. It was much just 1x fired. It came from the Sheriff range when we went from 357 to 40, and it had been sitting for 15 years in the corner of the armory and every year I had to move it around during deliveries, making room for new stuff. Finally the Sheriff said throw it in the dumpster. I heard throw it in the Buick.
I had a 3 year old daughter who loved to sort. We got a couple carboard boxes and she helped me sort 38 from 357. "Just don't lick your fingers honey".
Then we got a couple tall square boxes, similar to what a scope would come in, only bigger. I would count out 1000 of whatever into the box and draw a line around the box at the height the cases came to. I sold by volume, always filling the box with at least two handfuls over the line. So my buyers usually got 1050-1075 brass. I priced it at about 2/3 of what it was selling for back then (it was in demand) and listed on ebay when you could still do that. I sold a metric crap ton of it and paid for diapers and baby food for about three or four months on that $. I was in no hurry and it was just a regular evening and saturday thing, listing 3000 a week. It took about 9 months altogether to get rid of it but in small batches it went.
The key is to find what the stuff sells for and sell it for less.
Some of the stuff you could list here in similar manner. Pick out the cherry stuff...bullets, good brass, esoteric stuff and list it slowly. It will sell.
I once read a story about a guy who sold carrot peelers in NYC. Every day for years he went out with bags of carrots, carrot peelers, a stool and a bucket. He had a pitch, and a skill. He would start his pitch while peeling carrots and soon crowds formed as he entertained and handed out salted carrots. He sold carrot peelers of $5 each, two for ten! He died a millionaire. He said "Never despise small money".
