Best Quality way to open LC 5.56 Brass crimped Primer Pockets

Blue and green swager make a depression inside the cartridge
NOT NECESSARILY CONCENTRIC WITH THE FLASH HOLE
Web thickness variable!?
I am unable to find where this has been recognised by anyone.
Curious because here is the most meticulous perfectionists ever.
Fine I must be doing it wrong but no more swager for me.
Pics later.

I have the Dillon swaging tool and while it does remove the crimp, it also significantly distorts the primer flash hole from the inside of the case. Since I am using this ammo for competition shooting I am not willing to accept this alteration in the case. Maybe I could do some testing to see if there is a negative impact function and accuracy but it is just not worth it to me at this point. I have given up on the swaging tool and have gone back to reaming the crimp out with a counter sink.

I used many type hand reamers and press mounted swedge dies and settled for the Hornady unit below.
It may not be as fast as the Dillon swedge but the swedge is carbide and is easy to adjust.

NOTE, any type of hand reamer will cause sore fingers when doing large batches and the Horndy swage is pain free.

Chamfer tool on the prep station works great. ive used several swag tools that did not cut the mustard. Done several thousands with a chamfer tool.
