Best primer pocket cleaner

I have used a few different brands and cant seem to find one that cleans good. Right now I'm using the RCBS stainless brush and its "ok" but still not ideal, or at least the pockets are completely clean. BTW this is used on a motorized prep-station.

An RCBS primer pocket uniformer works great . . . repeatedly.

Like others, I use a uniformer tool to clean pockets that has a stop so you can't cut the pocket too deep. After uniforming the pocket, subsequent cleaning with the uniformer leaves the pocket completely clean. I use the Sinclair version.

This method is far superior to the RCBS wire brush tool.

There’s a little tool called a crocogator that’s dang handy. I have also used a uniformer with good results, generally an older one that has less value for actually uniforming.

I use a pocket uniformer just go in light and remove the gunk, best thing I have found that does the job..I don't uniform pockets anymore so it has made it's place

The two best things about the Sinclair are that it's carbide so it essentially never wears, and that there is no adjustment to get wrong (it's one piece).

I find that with full power loads the primer pocket gets slightly shallower with each firing - a few flecks of brass get removed each time. It would take meny firings to create a problem, but I feel better staying on top of it.

What’s the Gold ish colored hand held tool with all the chamfer and primer pocket bits ?

Lyman set is orange, 8 piece set for all your brass prepping needs.
Minus flash hole debur.

First time everyone is on the same page , a pocket uniformer. I'll through in a curve , together with wet tumbling and SS Pins.

Just use a primer pocket uniformer, killing two birds with one stone; cleaning out what is in the way, and making sure your primer pocket is of the proper depth to take a primer correctly.
